紀錄短片《太公望》拍攝一位遊子的釣魚情境，而非敘事。王袁，中國東北人，現年32歲，目前已旅居法國第7年。幾乎每一個週末他都會到尼斯的海邊來釣魚，可是到現在還沒有一條魚上鉤。吹著海風點起香煙，藉著釣竿、魚線、魚鉤和假餌的甩出，彷彿可以將蓄積的情緒和挫折都放回到漆黑的大海裡，讓浪撫平所有的波瀾，回歸平靜。

The documentary Le Pêcheur records not the narrative, but the atmosphere of a foreigner fishing. WANG Yuan, age 32, from Northeast China, has studied in France for the past seven years. He would fish at the Azure coast almost every weekend, but has never gone home with a fish. Blowing against the wind, Wang Yuan lights his cigarette, throws his rod, line, and lure into the ocean. He throws them into the pitch-black sea the way he would throw his repressed emotions and frustrations into darkness.
